Jeff Heller was born in 1962 in Jackson, Tennessee. He attended Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA, receiving his BS in 1984. He then attended the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law and received his JD in 1987.

Attorney Heller is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. Previously he was a Captain, US Marine Corps Judge Advocate.
